How Turkey Laser Guide Makes Money
This page explains how Turkey Laser Guide is funded, what you may pay us for, what partner hospitals may pay us for in the future, and how we separate commercial introductions from clinical decisions.

- We do not make clinical referrals. If you ask us to, we can facilitate an introduction to a partner hospital so you can explore treatment further.
- Partner hospitals do not currently pay us. We may introduce a commercial introduction fee arrangement in future, and this page will be updated before that happens.
- Any clinical assessment, suitability decision, procedure recommendation or treatment decision is made only by the treating ophthalmologist after diagnostic assessment.
- You can use our guides, ask questions, book a consultation, or decide not to proceed with anything. There is no obligation to use a partner hospital.
We Do Not Make Clinical Referrals
This distinction matters.
Turkey Laser Guide is not a clinic, hospital, medical practice or treating healthcare provider. We do not assess your eyes, diagnose conditions, prescribe treatment, confirm suitability or recommend a procedure for your individual situation.
If you ask us to do so, we can introduce you to one of our partner hospitals so you can explore treatment further. That is a commercial and administrative introduction, not a clinical referral.
Only the treating ophthalmologist can determine whether laser eye surgery or lens replacement is appropriate for you, and only after a comprehensive diagnostic assessment.
Our Current Paid Service
The £49 Personalised Surgeon Consultation
Our current paid service is the £49 Personalised Surgeon Consultation.
It is designed for people who would like the opportunity to discuss their individual circumstances with an experienced refractive surgeon before deciding whether to explore treatment further.
During the consultation you can ask questions, discuss your situation, better understand the procedures available, and learn what the next steps would usually involve if you decide to continue your journey.
The £49 fee contributes towards:
- Priority handling of your enquiry.
- Review of the information you choose to provide before the consultation.
- Coordinating your appointment.
- The surgeon’s time during the consultation.
- Administrative support before and after your appointment.
What The Consultation Doesn’t Include
The Personalised Surgeon Consultation is not a diagnosis, suitability assessment or medical opinion. It cannot determine whether laser eye surgery is appropriate for you. Only the treating ophthalmologist can make that decision following a comprehensive diagnostic eye examination.
Who The Consulting Surgeon Is
The surgeon providing the consultation may practise within our partner hospital network. We disclose that because it is relevant.
Their practical experience can be useful because they understand the diagnostic pathway, treatment planning process and how refractive surgery is delivered in Turkey.
If You Prefer A Surgeon Outside The Partner Network
If the surgeon’s connection to our partner network concerns you, tell us before booking. Where available, we can arrange a consultation with a refractive surgeon outside the partner network. This may take longer to schedule.
Future Commercial Introduction Fees
At the time this page was last updated, partner hospitals do not pay Turkey Laser Guide.
We may introduce commercial agreements in future where a partner hospital pays Turkey Laser Guide an introduction fee if someone we introduced later proceeds with treatment, or where another clearly defined condition is met.
If that happens, this page will be updated before the arrangement starts. The wording will explain:
- which type of fee is paid;
- when the fee becomes payable;
- whether the fee varies by hospital;
- whether the fee varies by procedure;
- and whether it affects the price paid by the person having treatment.
Important
A commercial introduction fee is not a clinical referral fee. It does not involve Turkey Laser Guide making medical decisions, assessing suitability or directing clinical care. Clinical decisions remain entirely with the treating medical team.
What Will Not Change
If we introduce commercial introduction fees in the future, these principles will still apply:
No Clinical Decisions By Us
We do not decide whether you are suitable for treatment, which procedure is appropriate, or whether treatment should go ahead.
No Procedure-Based Incentive
We will not accept a commercial structure that pays us more for one procedure than another.
No Paid Editorial Placement
Hospitals cannot pay for favourable wording, rankings, hidden promotion or softer discussion of risks.
No Sharing Without Consent
Your information is never shared with a hospital unless you explicitly ask for an introduction and consent to the information being shared.
Will You Pay More Because You Came Through Us?
You should not pay more because you found a partner hospital through Turkey Laser Guide.
For people who prefer a more managed experience, some of our partner hospitals can arrange personalised treatment packages that include services such as airport transfers and hotel accommodation. These packages are optional and are typically priced higher than treatment alone.
If a commercial introduction arrangement is introduced, any fee would be paid by the hospital, not added as a separate fee charged to you by Turkey Laser Guide.
Before proceeding with any hospital, you should ask for a written quotation and confirm directly with the hospital what is included, what is excluded, and whether the price differs if you contact them directly.
What Happens To Your Information?
Reading our guides, downloading resources, asking a general question or booking the £49 Personalised Surgeon Consultation does not automatically share your information with any hospital.
If you decide you want to explore treatment with a partner hospital, we will tell you which hospital would receive your information before anything is shared.
Your information is shared only when you explicitly request an introduction and give consent. For more detail, please read our Privacy Policy.
Does Money Influence The Information We Publish?
Hospitals do not control our educational content.
Our articles are written to help people understand procedures, risks, suitability factors, costs, recovery and practical decisions before choosing a treatment provider.
We do not accept payment for favourable coverage, hidden advertising, rankings, altered medical wording or removal of reasonable risk information.

What This Means For You

If we introduce commercial introduction fees, advertising, sponsorship, additional paid services or any other material source of income, this page will be updated before that change takes effect.
We will state what changed, when it changed, and how it may affect the way Turkey Laser Guide operates.
