Turkey Laser Guide operates as an independent information resource. This Website provides comprehensive general information about laser eye surgery and ophthalmological procedures available in Turkey. Where appropriate, Turkey Laser Guide may facilitate a connection between a User and an independent Medical Provider to enable the User to make direct independent enquiries.
3.2 Not a Healthcare Provider
Turkey Laser Guide is not and does not purport to be a healthcare provider, medical practice, hospital, clinic, or regulated medical service of any kind. We are not registered with, licensed by, or regulated by any medical regulatory body in the United Kingdom, Turkey, the United States, or any other jurisdiction in connection with this Website.
3.3 Clinical Independence of Medical Providers
All clinical decisions, medical assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and surgical procedures are made and performed exclusively by licensed Medical Providers regulated by the Turkish Ministry of Health and the Turkish Medical Association. Turkey Laser Guide has no involvement in, influence over, or responsibility for any clinical decision made by any Medical Provider.
3.4 Transparency of Relationships
Turkey Laser Guide maintains established commercial arrangements with a carefully considered selection of Medical Providers in Turkey. These arrangements exist to facilitate the connection between Users and Medical Providers and to support the operation of this Website. Turkey Laser Guide personnel do not act in any clinical capacity in connection with this Website or any Referral Facilitation.
PART 4 — NO MEDICAL ADVICE AND NO CLINICAL RELATIONSHIP
4.1 General Information Only

(a) Undergo pre-operative assessments with their own physician prior to travel; (b) Satisfy themselves independently of their suitability for the proposed procedure; (c) Disclose all relevant medical history, medications, and conditions to their chosen Medical Provider.
These steps are in the User’s own best interests and Turkey Laser Guide recommends them as a matter of good practice.
PART 5 — REFERRAL FACILITATION
5.1 Nature of Referral Facilitation
Where Turkey Laser Guide facilitates a connection between a User and a Medical Provider, this constitutes the sharing of information to enable the User to make direct independent enquiries. This does not constitute:
(a) A recommendation or endorsement of the Medical Provider; (b) A warranty of the Medical Provider’s competence, qualifications, or outcomes; (c) A guarantee of surgical suitability; (d) The commencement of any clinical relationship; (e) An agreement to provide any ongoing service.
5.2 User Responsibility
Following a connection facilitation, the User is solely responsible for:
(a) Conducting their own independent due diligence on the Medical Provider; (b) Verifying the Medical Provider’s licensing, accreditation, and qualifications independently; (c) Negotiating and agreeing all terms of Medical Services directly with the Medical Provider; (d) Making all arrangements for travel, accommodation, and post-operative care independently.
5.3 Scope of Engagement
Turkey Laser Guide’s engagement with a User is limited to the provision of information and, where a Surgical Reservation Fee has been paid, the facilitation of a Surgical Date reservation. Beyond this Turkey Laser Guide assumes no continuing role, responsibility, or obligation in connection with the User’s treatment journey.
Where Turkey Laser Guide provides general guidance on travel arrangements, all bookings, costs and decisions relating to travel, accommodation and flights remain the sole responsibility of the User. Turkey Laser Guide does not sell, organise or take responsibility for any travel package, accommodation or flight.

6.2 Direct Contractual Relationship
Any contract for Medical Services is formed directly and exclusively between the User and the relevant Medical Provider. Turkey Laser Guide is not and shall not be deemed a party to any such contract.
6.3 User Due Diligence
Users are solely responsible for conducting their own independent due diligence on any Medical Provider, including verification of:
(a) Licensing and registration with the Turkish Ministry of Health; (b) Professional qualifications and surgical experience; (c) Accreditation status including Joint Commission International accreditation where applicable; (d) Facility standards and clinical governance protocols; (e) Surgeon-specific outcome and complication data.
6.4 No Endorsement
The inclusion of any Medical Provider on this Website or in any communication from Turkey Laser Guide does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, or warranty of that provider’s services, competence, or outcomes.
PART 7 — LIMITATION AND EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY
7.1 Exclusions
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Turkey Laser Guide excludes all liability for:
(a) Any clinical outcome, surgical complication, adverse medical event, death, or personal injury arising from Medical Services provided by any Medical Provider; (b) Any act, omission, negligence, wilful misconduct, or breach of duty of any Medical Provider; (c) Any reliance on information contained on this Website as a substitute for independent medical advice; (d) Any decision to undergo medical treatment in Turkey or elsewhere; (e) Any travel disruption, cancellation, delay, or associated costs; (f) Any accommodation costs or logistical expenses; (g) Any indirect, consequential, special, punitive, or incidental loss or damage of any nature; (h) Any loss of profits, revenue, business, opportunity, goodwill, or anticipated savings; (i) Any loss arising from events outside our reasonable control.
7.2 Liability Cap
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the total aggregate liability of Turkey Laser Guide to any User arising out of or in connection with these Terms, this Website, any Referral Facilitation, any Surgical Date reservation, or any related communication, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, shall not exceed the greater of:
(a) The total amount of the Surgical Reservation Fee paid directly to Turkey Laser Guide by that User; or (b) £100 (one hundred pounds sterling).
7.3 Mandatory Exceptions
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes Turkey Laser Guide’s liability for:
(a) Death or personal injury caused by Turkey Laser Guide’s own negligence; (b) Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; (c) Any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded under applicable law.
7.4 Consumer Rights
If you are a Consumer, your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and other applicable consumer protection legislation are not affected by these Terms. These Terms do not seek to exclude or restrict any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted under applicable consumer protection law.
PART 8 — SURGICAL RESERVATION FEE
8.1 Purpose
The Surgical Reservation Fee exists solely to confirm a User’s genuine commitment to attend a reserved Surgical Date and to secure that date with the relevant Medical Provider. It is not a charge for any service provided by Turkey Laser Guide.
8.2 Nature of the Surgical Reservation Fee
The Surgical Reservation Fee:
(a) Confirms the User’s commitment to attend the Confirmed Date; (b) Secures the Surgical Date with the Medical Provider on the User’s behalf; (c) Is deducted in full from the total surgical cost payable directly to the Medical Provider at the time of treatment; (d) Does not constitute payment for Medical Services; (e) Does not constitute payment for any information, referral facilitation, or other service provided by Turkey Laser Guide; (f) Does not guarantee surgical suitability — final suitability is determined exclusively by the Medical Provider following independent in-person diagnostic assessment; (g) Does not guarantee any specific surgical outcome or result.
8.3 Non-Refundability
The Surgical Reservation Fee is strictly non-refundable once a Confirmed Date has been agreed. By paying the Surgical Reservation Fee following confirmation of a Surgical Date, the User explicitly acknowledges and agrees that:
(a) The Surgical Reservation Fee is non-refundable in all circumstances following date confirmation; (b) No refund shall be payable regardless of the reason for cancellation including but not limited to change of mind, change of personal circumstances, medical unsuitability determined after date confirmation, or failure to travel.
8.4 Consumer Cooling Off
Where a User is a Consumer contracting at a distance, the User may have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days of entering into any agreement under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. However, by requesting the immediate reservation of a Surgical Date and making payment of the Surgical Reservation Fee, the User expressly requests the commencement of the reservation service and acknowledges that the right to cancel will be lost upon confirmation of the Surgical Date. This does not affect any other statutory rights the User may have.
8.5 Payment Processing
All Surgical Reservation Fees are collected via Stripe, a PCI DSS compliant payment processing service. By making payment you agree to Stripe’s terms of service available at stripe.com/legal. Turkey Laser Guide does not store, process, or have access to card details at any time. All payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe in accordance with applicable payment security standards. Payment may be made by credit card, debit card, or such other methods as Stripe makes available.
8.6 Stripe Independence
Stripe acts as an independent third-party payment processor and not as an agent of Turkey Laser Guide. Turkey Laser Guide accepts no liability for any failure, error, or interruption in Stripe’s payment processing services. In the event of any payment processing issue please contact us via the contact form on this Website.
8.7 Payment Disputes and Chargebacks
By paying the Surgical Reservation Fee, the User confirms that they:
(a) Have read and understood these Terms and Conditions in full; (b) Understand that the Surgical Reservation Fee is strictly non-refundable once a Confirmed Date has been agreed; (c) Understand that Medical Services are provided exclusively by independent third-party Medical Providers; (d) Understand that final surgical suitability is determined solely by the Medical Provider.
In the event of a payment dispute or chargeback initiated without prior written notice to Turkey Laser Guide, we reserve the right to provide all relevant documentation, agreements, and communications to the relevant payment processor, card scheme, or financial institution to defend and recover the claim in full.
